Fringe Tree

Chionanthus virginicus, or Fringe Tree, is a small deciduous tree in the olive family. The name comes from the Greek word’s “snow” and “flower.” It can grow 12-20 ft. tall and wide. It grows best in full to part sun with foliage in shade and flowering in sun. They bloom in late spring, with fragrant white flower clusters. Native Americans use the bark and dried roots for treating skin inflammations.
