American Beautyberry

Callicarpa americana, also known as American beautyberry, is a woody perennial native shrub to the Southern US often grown as an ornamental for gardens. They produce large clusters of magenta berries, in the fall, which birds and deer eat. The berries ripen in September through October. It’s commonly planted to attract wildlife. It prefers full sun to part shade and is able to grow in all types of soil with good drainage.
