Symphytum officinale, or comfrey, is a perennial flowering plant. Its name comes from the Greek word meaning grow together. It’s found in moist grasslands or along riverbanks and ditches. It is cold hardy and drought tolerant. This plant can grow 1-5 ft. tall, flowering from May to June. This is a mildly toxic plant.
