The latest 7-day QPF map shows that only light rainfall amounts are expected this week across Georgia. The wettest period in northern Georgia will be mid-week Tuesday through Thursday, but amounts are expected to be light with only about a quarter inch or less predicted. Week Two is also expected to be warmer and drier than average, so no big changes are predicted into November. Georgia has not really been affected by Tropical Storm Ophelia except for sunnier and drier conditions this weekend due to sinking air to the west of the storm circulation.
