  • Critical temperatures for frost damage on fruit trees

    I ran across this useful chart from Utah State University on the temperature thresholds that cause damage to a variety of fruit trees.  It summarizes how different stages of fruit production from bud to flower are affected by freezing temperatures.   • Slight changes in drought status this week

    The latest Drought Monitor, released this morning, shows very slight changes in the amount of abnormally dry conditions across the region from last week. In Florida the amount of abnormally dry conditions decreased a bit, while there were slight expansions in South Carolina and Georgia. There is currently no drought in the region.  The dry…
