Is becoming a Master Gardener Extension Volunteer for you?   The purpose of the Georgia Master Gardener® program is to assist UGA Extension by training Master Gardener Volunteers to provide current horticultural information through community service and educational gardening projects using applied research and the resources of the University of Georgia.

The 2027 volunteer training program is scheduled for Friday classes in-person 9am to 3pm: Jan. 15, Jan. 29, Feb. 12, Feb. 19, Feb. 26, March 12 and March 26.  This will be a hybrid class schedule with supplemental courses/labs offered in-person and required courses offered online.  Exams will also be online through the UGA eLearning Commons virtual classroom.  Weekly classes will be hosted by the Bartow Extension office in Cartersville, GA.

*Note that the application is a fillable form if you have Adobe compatible software.  However, you MUST PRINT this form and physically submit a SIGNED copy to our office by the October 26 deadline.  Three references with correct contact information must be included with the application for full consideration.  Interviews and background investigations of eligible candidates will be conducted by November 20th.
