I have been traveling around the county and I have started to notice a slow increase in the number of whiteflies. On top of this, it is time for spraying for stinkbugs. Since spraying for stinkbugs has the potential to flare whiteflies it is important to scout for stinkbugs and spray only when thresholds are met. If one does decide to spray, a pyrethroid is a better option in terms of trying to prevent excessive whitefly populations. I have attached three flyers discussing scouting of stinkbugs, scouting of whiteflies, and whitefly control. If you want more information or want me to visit your fields please call me or the office.
