A couple things that are probably on everyone’s mind.
The cold weather moving in and the Helene block grant.
Here’s what I know:

From the National Weather Service. We are going to be just dipping below freezing. If you have planted early, I wouldn’t worry too much. As yall are making your planting decisions keep an eye on the soil temp. I will keep blasting this out to yall: http://www.georgiaweather.net/?content=calculator&variable=CC&site=DIXIE
The UGA weather station in Dixie. It will give you a quick idea if you don’t have a temperature probe. As of today, 03/16/2026 this is where we are at.

The Hurricane Helene Block Grant applications opened today. You can find the application here: https://agr.georgia.gov/hurricane-helene-block-grant
If you need assistance with this, we are here to help.
Other News:

This is the “set&seed” I have been telling yall about. As you are hooking up planters, this takes about 5-10 minutes, and can get you to within ¼ inch of planting depth. I still have the kit at the moment, so call me if you are interested.
