The latest global climate summary for October 2020 is now available from NOAA. It shows that for the earth as a whole, it was the 4th warmest October since records began in 1880. The latest Drought Monitor, released this morning, shows that there have been very slight increases in the area covered by abnormally dry (D0) conditions in Georgia and South Carolina this week. With the rain from TS Eta falling yesterday and today, I expect that will decrease in next week’s map.
