Parts of the country are really starting to feel the consequences of receiving record amounts of rain in May. El Nino is to blame according to University of Georgia Climatologist Pam Knox. Some farmers are now dealing with planting delays, fields in need of replanting, and sick livestock. There may be another blast of wet weather to come.

Knox says El Nino may also cause less active tornado and hurricane activity this year. And, 2015 may be one of the warmest years on record.
