The past couple of weeks have been well below freezing and there maybe some more cold weather on the way.  I am not forecasting cold weather, I will leave that to the meteorologist,  but I was reading my Onsite Installer magazine and they had a story concerning how to handle frozen pipes.  The story is titled Frozen Waterlines: What to Do and What Not to Do.  the author discusses how and what should and should not be done to thaw frozen pipes.  She also discusses why you should not leave water dripping if you are on a septic system.  The tank system is not designed for the extra water and the lines could become overloaded and effluent surface over the distribution lines.
