I know there are some folks who love to fish who read this blog. They may be interested in this recent story from Garden&Gun discussing the impacts of Helene’s floods on the brook trout and other aquatic life in the streams that were so devastated by the intense rainfall. While it is too early to get any good assessments yet since it is still very difficult to get around the area, there are some signs of hope for the future restoration of the stream ecosystems, although it may take a long time to be reestablished.
