Corn planting is coming to the short rows and it will soon be time to put cotton and peanut seed in the ground. If you have not yet started planting and are unsure if your insecticide hoppers are calibrated give your ANR extension agent or office a call to schedule a time to have yours calibrated. The 10-day weather forecast is showing Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 60s, if you begin to get an itch to begin planting earlier be sure you are taking extra caution to prevent seedling disease in cotton and peanuts and TSWV in peanuts, this year with the economic situation is the last year we want to put ourselves in a replant situation.
