Notice at the end of this newsletter, the 2025 Georgia Corn Short Course has been postponed.

There was a good turnout at the 2025 Appling County Peanut Production Meeting. See the attached PDFs below for handouts given at the meeting if you were not able to attend. I would like to thank our speakers Dr. Scott Tubbs, Dr. Bob Kemerait, and Joy Crosby and everyone who attended. Also, thank you to our Sponsors for funding Appling County Extension ANR Programming and their support. The next production meeting will be the pecan meeting. It will be held January 30, 12:00 at the Appling Ag Center. See the flyer later in this newsletter for information on remaining Appling County Production Meetings.

POSTPONED – 2025 Georgia Corn Short Course

If you are not aware, there have been some reports that inclement weather is heading our way.  There is a good probability this wintery mix of snow and or ice will impact most regions of the state. In communication with the state meteorologist and the assistant dean, and prioritizing the safety of all groups involved, the corn shortcourse has been postponed.  A rescheduled date will be determined and communicated at a later time.
