We had a great crowd at the Worth County Extension Peanut Production Meeting yesterday evening. Dr. Scott Monfort and Dr. Mark Abney from the UGA Peanut Team shared the latest research-based information on peanut production and insect pests. The group also heard from the Georgia Peanut Commission’s Maddie Frost who shared about the commission’s efforts in education, supporting, and promoting peanuts. Diana McGrath, Georgia DNR Wildlife Biologist, was a guest speaker and shared about wildlife habitat programs/opportunities which are available for grower participation.
