A website from UGA Cooperative Extension

Silverleaf whiteflies (SLWF) have been present in a few local cotton fields for 3 to 4 weeks. As of today, a few fields in the area east of Sylvester have reached treatment thresholds since the first of this week. In other areas of the county, cotton fields may not have SLWF present, and some may have just very few adults. Hopefully the spread of SLWF will be minimal in the outstretches of the county, but growers should be aware of the presence of SLWF in cotton. Below is information about scouting for and managing silverleaf whitefly.
