Georgia Agriculture Awareness Week – This week is recognized as Georgia Agriculture Awareness Week. We want to thank all of the Worth County farmers and producers that are growing and providing food, fiber, and shelter to our local community, the state of Georgia, and our country. Worth County is impacted daily through the dedication of our local farm families and farm-related operations, big and small. Agriculture is the backbone of Worth County, and we want to extend our gratitude to you, the Worth County producer.

Using Pesticides Wisely trainings are ongoing. There are times available for viewing for growers and applicators. This training is required for all applicators of in-season dicamba and/or 2,4-D products in cotton or soybeans with auxin technology. The trainings are virtual or on computer this year. Contact the Worth County Extension Office at 229-776-8216 if someone does not have access to a computer or internet, and we will schedule an opportunity for in-person viewing. Listed are the remaining training times. Click on the link to register for a training that fits your schedule. If there are other questions, feel free to contact us.
