A website from UGA Cooperative Extension

Many meetings and training opportunities have moved to an online or virtual format recently. UGA Worth County Extension is still on mission to bring the latest unbiased, research-based information for our clients.

We would like to mention/remind growers or other interested parties of the many upcoming opportunities. Please click on items below to get more details.

2021 Production meetings can be attended virtually for the following crops: corn/soybeans; peanuts; cotton; and pecans. Go to Extension Production meetings to find the details and registration links.

There will be two upcoming Vegetable Production meetings of interest to growers. The first is next week on January 26 at 1:00 p.m., and will cover multiple vegetable crops. The second meeting on February 8 at 1:00 p.m., will focus mainly on watermelons. These meetings will be virtual, also. Mark your calendar and contact the Worth County Extension Office to get viewing information.

The Georgia Cotton Commission Annual meeting will be virtual on January 27, 2021. See the details at Georgia Cotton News.

As mentioned, the GA Clean Day opportunity is coming soon in Mitchell County. Also, see information to register for the virtual Georgia Ag Forecast.

As always, let us know if we can help you at Worth County Extension.
