We are starting to see silverleaf whitefly (SLWF) numbers increase in some fields in the county.  While they are not widespread, they are present in some cotton fields.  Growers and scouts should be looking closely for them, and treat when thresholds are met.  Below is some excellent information from Dr. Phillip Roberts and Dr. Mike Toews, UGA Entomologists, on scouting and managing SLWF in cotton.  Contact Worth County Extension if we can help you.
