Your septic system includes the pipes that carries water to the septic tank but also the distribution system that returns and disperses the water back into the ground for final treatment. The distribution system can be most anywhere and you should be aware of where it is so you do not cause damage which will redue its effectiveness of returning water back to the environment. Some ways to do this is to not park on the distribution system, don’t cover it, don’t plant deep rooted plants on it, do not plant vegetables gardens over the distribution system, and keep extra water from rainfall of of the system.
