The toilet is one of the beginning points to the onsite wastewater system or septic system. So the idea for today is Don’t Overload the Commode!. The idea here is that only a few things should be flushed down the toilet and drain for that matter. These are the 3- P’s and sometime the 4-P’s. These are Pee, Pooh, toilet Paper, and Puke. Another way is is said is only things that come from us plus toilet paper should be flushed. FOr all other things in the bathroom use the garbage can. Our little detective learned something about this today concerning things that should be flushed and thigs that should not be flushed so as to not Overload the Commode!

Protecting the onsite wastewater treatment system or septic system is knowing what should be flushed and what should not be flushed or put down the drain. This idea today also goes for municipal systems to protect the infrastructure of these systems. As our little detective learned there are only a few things that should be flushed in the toilet or put down the drain and these are the 4 – P’s.
