On October 3-6, 2018, Dr. Gary Hawkins attended the Global Water Security Conference for Agriculture and Natural Resources in Hyderabad, Telangana, India which was sponsored by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) along with the Indian Society of Engineers (ISAE). The conference was used as a platform to discuss water issues included:
- Wasted water in wasted food
- Irrigation efficiency and conserving water resources
- Rainwater harvesting
- Many other topics as it relates to water security and protecting our water resources.
