APPLY ONLINE AT LINK BELOW BY APRIL 15 (5 p.m.) STATE DEADLINE
High School 4-H’ers who interested in leadership, public speaking, and making an impact in their communities are encouraged to apply for the 2026–2027 Georgia 4‑H Ambassador Program.
The Georgia 4-H Ambassador Program offers opportunities for students to learn and lead in key areas of 4-H programming. Ambassadors are selected for a specific track through an application process and participate in a dynamic and intensive training weekend. These individuals take their newfound knowledge back to the county level, where they plan activities to share the information they gained and represent Georgia 4-H as ambassadors in the field. The application is now open and will remain available through Tuesday, April 15, at 5:00 p.m. (This is a statewide deadline and the form will close promptly at this time!)
Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is open to current 8th–11th grade 4‑H members during the 2025–2026 school year. Youth who are currently seniors and graduating this year are not eligible, as the Ambassador Program extends beyond most members’ 4‑H eligibility. A limited number of teens are selected statewide, making this a competitive but rewarding leadership experience.

What Is Required of an Ambassador?

- Complete six learning activities related to their subject area
- Complete six sharing activities related to their subject area
- Completed 4 quarterly reports about your activities for the State 4-H Office
- Attend State 4-H Council 2027 to receive recognition of completion of the training
All selected ambassadors are required to attend a two-day in-person Ambassador Training Summit at Rock Eagle 4-H Center on Thursday-Friday, May 28-29, 2026. Ambassadors must commit to the entire training. Youth cannot arrive late or depart early. The cost of this training is $95 (includes a polo and nametag). Payment will be due within two weeks of being notified of acceptance.
How to Apply
The online application and additional details are available through Georgia 4‑H website: https://georgia4h.org/programs/focus-areas/citizenship/community-global-affairs/4-h-ambassadors/. Parents and youth are encouraged to review the sample application and rubric (which can be downloaded below) to better understand expectations before applying.
Returning Ambassadors
Returning Ambassadors must also complete the application, even if they plan to continue in the same track. Youth interested in switching tracks may do so through the application process.
To remain eligible, returning Ambassadors must be on track to complete and report six learning activities and six sharing activities by the June 10, 2026 deadline. Track leaders will make final decisions, and all selected Ambassadors—new and returning—will be announced on April 28.
Some returning Ambassadors may attend the in‑person Summit depending on their track. Returning Animal Science Ambassadors are required to attend the Summit at Rock Eagle, as the content will differ from previous years.
