Do you love working with students?
Do you want to get more involved with 4-H?
We always love to have new volunteers. Volunteers can help in a variety of ways including judging competitions, chaperoning events, leading judging teams, mentoring students, and more.
All volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Best practices also require that volunteers be three or more years older than the oldest youth they will be chaperoning at the event. Candidates must also possess a valid Driver’s License or Government Issued Identification in order for UGA to be able to complete their background screening process.
In order to begin complete the Volunteer Screening Process, an individual will need to …
- Complete the online Volunteer Application for Tattnall County (here)
- Watch your email closely for an email from Customer_service@accurate.com to finish setting up your account. It will often go to the Spam or Junk email folders.
- Complete the online Risk Management Training (sent to your email after background screening has been completed)
- Must complete and sign the Volunteer Agreement
Once your Volunteer Screening process has been completed, you will be able to work with the Extension Staff to identify ways you can help support the local program through volunteering. If you have questions about the Volunteer Screening process, please contact the Extension Office at (912) 557-6724, ext. 0.
