Despite a colder than average winter, Spring will be here before long and with it comes time to plant new flowers, fruits, trees and shrubs. The Tattnall County 4-H program will be offering over 30 unique varieties of trees, shrubs, and flowering plants to help meet your needs.
Since it’s beginning in 2017, the sale has helped raise funds for key 4-H events and activities such as District Project Achievement, 4-H Camp Scholarships, and more. This year, 4-H youth have the opportunity to sell trees and plants to raise funds to attend 4-H camp. Each 4-H’er who is selling plants will receive $25 off of their camp fees for every $100 of plants they sell. If you do not know a student you wish to personally support, no worries! Your purchase will go to support a ton of fun and educational 4-H activities and events throughout the year.
This year, you will see a repeat of some of our favorites such as peach trees, oak trees, muscadines, blueberries, and blackberries. NEW THIS YEAR we also are adding four popular citrus options!
All trees, plants and shrubs must be preordered through the Tattnall County Extension Office in Reidsville no later than February 10. All payments must be made at time of order by check or cash. Orders will be available for pickup at the Tattnall County High School Livestock Barn on March 3rd.
Order forms are available here. For more information, contact the Tattnall County Extension Office at uge3267g@uga.edu or 912-557-6724, ext. 0.
