This summer, we are excited to Splash Into Summer with a fun line-up of summer activities for youth in 3rd-12th grade!

Programs include:

June 14: Horsing Around Day, 5th-12th grade youth (Perry, GA)

Participants will travel with Mrs. Rebekah to the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, GA where they will get to watch various horse show competitions. In order to register, students should have a genuine interest in showing horses.

June 17: The Art of Dance Fun Day, 3rd-6th grade youth (Reidsville, GA)

Participants will join some of our Junior and Senior 4-H’ers for fun classes on line dancing and other dance steps, as well as some arts and crafts activities related to dance.

June 18: Savannah Bananas Game, 6th-12th grade youth (Savannah, GA)

Participants will enjoy a trip to the Savannah Bananas baseball game, as well as “all you can eat” food at the game. Cost also includes a commemorative t-shirt that must be worn to the activity. Time of game has not yet been set by Savannah Bananas.

June 19: Splash in the Boro Day, 5th-12th grade youth (Statesboro, GA)

Participants will enjoy the fun, laid-back atmosphere of Splash in the Boro with their 4-H friends. This trip is open to all 4-H’ers this year, not just DPA participants.

June 20: Woods & Wildlife, 3rd-12th grade youth (Reidsville, GA)

Participants will learn about Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park, including the trees and animals that live there. Students will explore with technology, so please bring your smart phone if you have one.  Extra devices will be available, but quantities are limited!

July 2: Kids in the Kitchen, 3rd-12th grade youth (Reidsville, GA)

Participants will learn about food safety and how to make exciting recipes with some of our Junior and Senior 4-H’ers.

So, how do you register?

Registration form and full payment (by check or cash) are due to the Tattnall County Extension Office no later than May 3rd. Spaces are limited for all activities and are available first come, first serve. Registrations may be mailed to Tattnall County Extension Office, ATTN: Summer Programs, P.O. Bx 580, Reidsville, GA 30453. Registrations may also be delivered in person to the Tattnall County Extension Office at 200A South Main Street in Reidsville. No spaces will be saved without registration form and payment being received in our office. Registration Forms which include dates, prices and additional details can be downloaded below:

All summer program activities will be supervised by Extension\4-H staff and screened volunteers. A signed 4-H Medical Form and Code of Conduct must be submitted at least two days prior to event for all students participating in a 4-H Summer Program event. Those forms can be found below:

Specific locations and transportation methods for each program vary and may change slightly due to the number of students who participate. Final details about each activity will be sent by email to each student who registers for the event.
