Resources for GA MGEVs

It is mid-May, and MGEVs all across Georgia are busy, busy responding to requests for gardening information (don’t forget to turn in sign-in sheets and Educational Activity Reports!). You may have had a few minutes this winter to take in some continuing education (CE), or you may be planning to do that during our hot and humid summer months. You may be able to take advantage of educational speakers at your monthly meetings. Maybe you hang out with us once a month for Thoughtful Thursday webinars. If you are looking for something more substantive, you might be interested in GMGA’s fall conference. This year’s line-up of speakers include UGA Emeritus Professor Dr. Michael Dirr as well as Dr. Kim Coder, UGA Professor of Tree Biology and Health Care. You’ll also hear from industry representatives, such as Matthew and Tim Nichols and Mark Maher. Personally, they had me a “Japanese Maples”! The conference offers a great opportunity to hear from knowledgeable individuals as you update or refresh your plant knowledge and more than meets the goal of 6 hours of continuing education for the year. What are you planning to do for your continuing education this year?
