Houston County MGEV Highlight

“Each spring and fall we host a series of classes for homeowners in the community. Our “Gardening with the Masters” class topics are based on what we get questions about the most in the office and taught by MGEVs who are experts in those areas. Houston County has been doing these classes for a few years now but starting in 2022 we made them a regular event every March and September. Classes are held at our demonstration garden, or office depending on weather, and continue to grow over time. We get an average of about 12 people per class. This size class allows for great hands on learning! Without our volunteers we wouldn’t be able to do as many classes or have as many different topics. The time they put into planning and teaching our community is valuable and appreciated by everyone that attends these classes.” -Morgan Grizzle, Houston County Extension
