Engaging Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteers in meaningful discussion about volunteering, outreach and community.

Will you start the year off with Advanced Training and Continuing Education?

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m just now getting accustomed to writing 2019 on paperwork and in emails, and it’s almost February! But that means our first Thoughtful Thursday is just days away. On Valentines Day, Thursday, February 14, 2019, UGA Extension Educator Karan Rawlins will join us online via Zoom from 2:00-2:30 PM to speak about Invasives and Natives. Join us here for this online webinar session, a great Continuing Education opportunity! For the remainder of the 2019 Thoughtful Thursday schedule, visit the GA MGEV webpage. Then, be sure to check out the 2019 Advanced Training calendar and available registration forms. While we are kicking the year off with our Thoughtful Thursday series, it is quickly followed by two great Advanced Training courses. Following the same theme as the first Thoughtful Thursday session, the February 27 Advanced Training course in Athens focuses on Invasive Plants and Insects. Then, we switch gears in March for a Plant Propagation and Grafting Advanced Training course on March 22 in Fayetteville. If you’re eligible, (requirements listed on AT webpage) go ahead and add these events to your calendar and complete the registration forms! Spaces are limited and spots have already started to fill up!

Unsure about the difference between Continuing Education and Advanced Training? No worries – check out this previous Trellis blog post for clarification.
