In 2019, the Georgia Master Gardener Association (GMGA) established the Award of Excellence in Consumer Horticulture. This award is specifically for agents and program assistants who coordinate MGEV programs to support consumer horticulture education for the public. Agents and program coordinators can complete the award application, or Master Gardeners can nominate them! If you would like to do so, email Sarah Sawyer, sarahdh@uga.edu, for a link to the online award application, which must be completed before September 14, 2026.
