On August 29, 2026, a group of six volunteers of the Libertarian Party of Bartow, Polk, and Floyd Counties conducted a river cleanup from Euharlee Creek to Hardin Bridge (4 miles). There was a total of 6 volunteers, for a total of 4 hours*6 volunteers=24 volunteer hours. Shirts and supplies were provided by KBB. The kayaks were provided by Euharlee Creek Outfitters.

The volunteers began at Euharlee Creek and ended at Hardin Bridge boat launch. The volunteers paddled in kayaks and retrieved trash from the sides of the riverbanks and shallow water areas. The 6 volunteers removed 4 bags of trash, metal material, a chair, & several sport balls out of the Etowah River (equal to 100 pounds). Bartow County Parks and Rec picked up the trash from the boat ramp.
