Adopt a Road volunteers are important. The Adopt a Road data that is received each year is reported to environmental agencies and to our own parent affiliate Keep America Beautiful. Not only are volunteers cleaning up their spot in the world, but they are also contributing to data that can help determine ways in which litter can be reduced or eliminated from the source.
45 roads have been adopted each at least a mile in length. 37% of those (17) have reported during this calendar year
We would like to recognize our wonderful Adopt-a-Road program participants. These industries, businesses, youth groups, school groups, community clubs, families, and individuals have stepped up to pick up at least one mile of roadway, four times a year. Thanks to their efforts, at least 45 miles of roadway in Bartow are more beautiful from removing tons of litter this past year.
