The Packer reported this week that Florida peaches are being harvested late this year due a lack of chill hours this past winter.  In some areas the crop may be harvested as much as a month later than normal.  Quantity is also expected to be lower than usual due to the warm conditions.

The peach harvest in Georgia, by comparison, is expected to be a bumper crop, according to the story here.  Fox 5 News in Atlanta also reported that Georgia peaches are supposed to be especially sweet and flavorful this year (link).
