Local residents can prepare for spring planting while supporting youth programs through the 2026 Tattnall County 4-H Tree and Plant Sale Fundraiser. Hosted annually by Tattnall County 4-H, the sale offers a wide selection of fruit trees, shade trees, shrubs, and landscape plants available by pre-order only. Orders and payment are due by January 12, 2026, with plant pickup scheduled for February 27 at Tattnall County High School.

The sale features a strong variety of fruit-bearing plants, including figs, pears, peaches, plums, muscadines, blackberries, and blueberries. Landscaping and shade options include American persimmon, Chinese chestnut, weeping willow, and multiple oak varieties, along with discounted wildlife habitat packages. Shoppers can also choose from numerous flowering shrubs and ornamentals such as azaleas, magnolias, hydrangeas, loropetalum, gardenias, hibiscus, tea olive, juniper, and evergreen screening plants like Green Giant and Murray cypress.

Order forms are available online at www.tattnall4h.org or at the Tattnall County Extension Office in Reidsville. Payment by cash or check is required with all orders.

Proceeds from the fundraiser support Tattnall County 4-H programs, helping fund educational activities, equipment, scholarships, and youth leadership opportunities. Supported programs include Project Achievement, judging teams, archery, community service projects, agriculture awareness events, leadership conferences, and summer camp. Customers may also designate a local 4-H member on their order to help offset that youth’s participation fees for upcoming activities.

For additional information, residents may contact the Tattnall County Extension Office by phone (912-557-6724) or email (uge3267g@uga.edu).
