This update contains tips on managing late planted cotton and soybeans. It also includes an update on peanuts and corn. This growing season has been a challenge thus far if there is anything UGA Extension can assist with give us a call.

Many growers are planting peanuts and some have started planted cotton. The weather has heated up and we have gotten very dry. With these conditions it is important to keep in mind the physiology of cotton.

Each year we participate in the UGA On-Farm Cotton Variety Evaluation Program. Through this program Extension Agents partner with a local cotton grower to put in a cotton variety trial on the farm.
