I just wanted to update everyone that I caught considerable more San Jose scale crawlers this week compared to last week (on untreated trees). With the increase in activity, I anticipate the first main peak of crawler activity to occur within the next week or so in Fort Valley. For the Ridge, I’d expect the peak about a week after Fort Valley and then the upstate a week or so after that. With the weather warming back up over the weekend, it might be a bit sooner than that, so keep an eye out for crawlers.
