Madison County’s 4-H BB Team showcased exceptional skill and sportsmanship at the State Georgia Games BB Gun Championship held March 14, 2026, in Carrollton. Competing as part of the Madison County 4-H S.A.F.E. (Shooting Awareness, Fun, and Education) Target Sports Program, the team joined more than 200 youth shooters from across the state in a rigorous six-hour competition.

The championship tested participants in four shooting positions—prone, standing, sitting, and kneeling—requiring precision, discipline, and focus. Madison County’s team, made up of five youth ranging from 4th to 9th grade, demonstrated strong teamwork while also competing for individual honors.

Among the standout performers was JC Rouse, who earned two individual awards: third place in the standing position and second place in the kneeling position—two of the most challenging categories in the competition. Her accomplishments highlighted both her dedication and the strength of the program’s training.

Other team members included Addy Kincaid, Easton Brock, Anna Kate West, and Morgan Grace West. The group is led by certified coaches Shawn Saunders, Alex Goldman, and Clint Rouse, along with support from dedicated parent volunteers. Their leadership and commitment played a key role in preparing the team for competition.

In addition to their success at the state level, the team also secured a national bid to compete at the Daisy Nationals, marking a significant achievement for the program. The Madison County 4-H S.A.F.E. program continues to provide youth with opportunities to develop confidence, responsibility, and technical skills through shooting sports.
