Growing Safe/Growing Green: Fertilizers vs. Pesticides

This workshop will focus on understanding the basics of fertilizers vs. pesticides. Participants will learn about the how fertilizers and pesticides can wash into storm basins and directly to creeks and rivers. There will be a discussion on how the excess use of fertilizers and pesticides can change soil characteristics, disrupt soil microflora, and reduce the rate of decomposition of organic and inorganic matter. You will leave the workshop with recommendations and ideas on how to best apply these in your operation.
