NOAA released their monthly climate summary for July 2025 a few days ago. They discuss the unusual nighttime warm temperatures in the eastern half of the US as well as the multiple flash flood events that occurred during the month. In particular, the flood event in the Texas Hill Country killed 133 people during the catastrophic event. In the Southeast, temperatures were warmer than usual and precip was lower than normal, leading to an increase in drought across the region.
