I spent today at a workshop in Rock Eagle, the 4-H camp near Eatonton GA, working with 4-H agents on ways to teach weather and climate in the classroom and in 4-H camp programs.  The documentation for the toolkit is online and anyone can use it. The 4-H Weather and Climate Variability Toolkit is a collaborative effort between the Florida 4-H Program and the Southeastern Climate Consortium and is available as a 166-page PDF at https://agroclimate.org/h4/weatherAndClimateVariabilityToolkit.pdf.  While it was written for Florida, most of the information is generally applicable to the Southeast.

Some other weather and climate resources are listed at the Florida Climate Center web site https://climatecenter.fsu.edu/kids/teacher-resources.
