This new insect to Georgia cotton is being observed in many fields. I went to a neighboring county yesterday to see for myself the damage this insect can cause – I did not expect to see what I saw (Figure 1 and 2). The Cotton Jassid is in many fields in Bulloch County, but I have not seen any considerable damage to any fields I have been in as of yet.
