Southern corn rust was confirmed yesterday on silage corn in Decatur County – this is the first find in Georgia in 2024. It has also been confirmed in Louisiana. There has not been any southern corn rust found in the sentinel plot in Bulloch County at Wade Hodges Farm, but samples will continue to be taken.
Soybean rust was also found today on some kudzu in Telfair County. Be prepared to protect your crop as we move forward and I will keep you updated with anymore finds.
