The Middle South Georgia Soil and Water Conservation District invites producers, landowners, community members, and elected officials to attend From Forest to Fields: A Conservation Field Day & Lunch on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ken & Brian Ponder’s Farm in Tifton, Georgia.
The event will feature interactive conservation demonstrations, natural resource management practices, and opportunities to connect with conservation professionals and partner agencies. State and federal legislators serving the district’s nine counties have been invited to participate and engage directly with producers, landowners, and community members.
The program will conclude with lunch at the USDA Service Center, offering an opportunity to discuss local conservation and agricultural priorities and to strengthen partnerships among landowners, conservation organizations, and policymakers.
