We had an Extension Cotton Update last week and we learned that we once again have the state Diuron label with flexible use patterns to fight pigweed and others prior to planting. If strip-tilling was done prior to application, wait 7 days before planting. If strip-tilling was done after the application but before planting, no plant back interval required. Keep in mind that “strip-till” by definition includes a ripper shank. See 24(c) Label below. Thanks to Dr. Culpepper, GDA, ADAMA, and EPA for getting us this label.

**Do not use Direx 4L as preemergence if it was used for burndown.**

**Direx 4L by ADAMA is the only diuron product available in Georgia with the shortened plant-back interval**
