Current Students

Charlie is a current M.S. student in the Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management department at The Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. She is working with Grow It Know It to better understand how farm-to-school professional development programs impact educators’ practice and program sustainability. Charlie is using the Sustainable Food Systems Certificate to make deeper connections between her past experiences in environmental education and her current work with farm to school programming.

Paige is an M.S. student in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, and is also a National Needs Fellowship grant recipient. In Paige’s study, they investigated the environmental impacts of major fruits and vegetables grown in Georgia. A cradle to grave life cycle analysis approach was used to systematically estimate the natural resource use, fossil fuel use and other emissions to produce blueberries in Georgia as a case study.
