Cotton and soybean varieties with tolerance to auxin herbicides (2,4-D or dicamba) are being commercialized. Prior to making applications of dicamba to dicamba-tolerant cotton/soybean or 2,4-D to 2,4-D-tolerant cotton/soybeans in Georgia, growers will be required to attend the training “Using Pesticides Wisely”.

The Georgia Pecan Growers Association (GPGA) will be offering five pecan educational meetings throughout the state in January 2017. One of the meetings will be held in Appling County on January 10 at Sarah’s in the City and will begin at 6:00 pm.

We have our County Production Meetings scheduled for 2017. Private and Commercial pesticide applicators will receive 1 hour of re-certification credit for all meetings except the Ag Economic and Irrigation Meetings. You must RSVP (912-375-6648) at least two days before the meeting so we have a head count for the meal.
