District Project Achievement (DPA)

What is DPA? – Georgia 4-H Project Achievement builds lifelong skills in leadership, creativity, public speaking, and record keeping. Students select a topic, research it, and present their findings.

Cloverleaf and Junior 4-H’ers (grades 4-8) compete locally before advancing to the district level

Senior 4-H’ers (grades 9-12) compete at state and national levels with added record keeping and in-depth project work.

Beginning in 7th grade, youth also create a portfolio that documents their project work, experiences, accomplishments, and written reflections throughout the year. As youth advance, both presentations and portfolios become more detailed and involved. Competition begins at the club or county level, with winners advancing to district and state competitions. State winners have the opportunity to compete at National 4-H Congress.
