Madison County 4-H Project S.A.F.E. BB Team started their 2025 competition off strong at Wilkes County on February 1st. Over thirty 4-H members who are shooting in their first year competed in a four-position match where they shot prone, standing, sitting, and kneeling for both individual scores and top-team score. Accompanied by Deborah Wofford, 4-H Program Assistant and Coach, Shawn Saunders, Head Coach, and parent-coaches who volunteer their time twice a week to work with the team, five first-year shooters went into their first match with just ten weeks of intense practice with their more experienced teammates. At the end of the 4-hour competition, the Madison County Team was rewarded for their hard work with 6 individual medals and the 2nd place Team.

Individual and Team Results:
Prone Position | 2nd place – Kris Ridling and 3rd place – Zayne Newbury |
Standing Position | 1st place – Julia (JC) Rouse |
