Now till the end of August I’ll be recording TSWV hits in peanut fields while scouting.

These numbers will be collected by counting the number of 1′ hits of TSWV in three 50′ sections of row, averaged out.

Last year I saw fields with anywhere from 6-18.6% disease and 3-26% TSWV incidence in 2020.

Agents across peanut growing areas of the state help the UGA Peanut team with this data annually. Below are some of the past two years’ data summarized out of Dr. Abney’s lab:
