“Water, Wings and Wildlife” (W3) is the Ablany Aquariums yearly educational outreach event for everything flying, crawling and swimming. Usually occurring in late September, 2019’s celebration started today with area school’s/home-schoolers visiting booths consisting of live insects, tortoises, snakes, owls, alligators…etc.
Its a chance for youth and adults alike to tap into their inner naturalist and learn about the fascinating environment around them.
W3 continues tomorrow ( Sat, Sep 28th, 2019) with exhibitors being open to the public starting at 10a and running till 5p.
Exhibitors include: SOWEGA Beekeepers, GA DNR, Albany Audubon Society, Chehaw Park Zoo and much much more. I’ll also be there for the third year in a row with a table on insect/arthropod diversity.
This post is not directly Ag related but still wanted to promote this wonderful local educational event. Please plan to stop by the Flint RiverQuarium tomorrow or mark your calendar for next year if you’re seeing this past the 2019 event.
This year’s schedule linked here. Times are subject to change.
Thanks!
Best Wishes,
Joshua Grant
